About Me

I love exercise. That is why I became a personal trainer and I definitely have found different ways to make exercise fun. I've run marathons, competed in triathlons, boxed, practiced krav maga and fought mixed-martial arts. I like to participate in charity events to raise money for various causes that involve exercise. For example, I did two 300-mile bike rides across Florida as well as several half-marathons for different charities. I am interested in learning to rock climb and would like to go to different countries and climb.

My Training Philosophy

I believe in preparing my clients for anything that life throws at them. I find that my clients are surprised at the things they can do. I don't take any 'tools' out of the toolbox and use all types of training, including: Strength, power, agility, cardiovascular endurance, balance and coordination. Whether it's surfing on vacation in Australia, Skiing in Colorado, or simply chasing around your kids or grandkids for fun, the training that I will have you doing creates a more whole lifestyle. I won't let you give up and you will reach your goals and then surpass them!

How I Can Help You

I will customize a program for you based on your goals. I have worked with so many types of different people that I am confident that I can help you achieve whatever it is that you set out to do. We will start by taking baseline measurements and assessments. Then we will work together to set goals for you to achieve over the coming months. These goals will follow the SMART principle: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Timely. We will implement a reward system for you so that as you reach your goals, you will be able to celebrate your achievements.

My Specialties

I've been in the fitness industry for over 10 years. My Bachelor's degree is in Exercise Science/Wellness Leadership. I've worked with everyone from weight loss to athletes and from post-surgery rehabilitation to weekend warriors. I have a background in Mixed-Martial Arts and boxing. I teach on the Pilates Reformer as well as Mat Pilates. I train my clients to use kettlebells and have several boot camp classes per week where I train multiple clients at a time. I also teach Zumba and other forms of dance. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and can use this background to work with my clients on postural alignment.
